#Vegan Roasted #Salsa

(16 oz jar)

Ingredients:
1/2 white onion
3 Roma tomatoes
1 garlic clove
Half bunch of cilantro
1/2 seeded, chopped jalapeño (not spicy at ALL, in my opinion)
1 1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp lime juice
1/2 tsp Cumin
Pinch brown sugar (or white)

Steps:
1. On a hot skillet char all your vegetables, except the cilantro. Rotate the veggies as needed. Remove when ready.
2. Add all ingredients to food processor.
3. Blend until you’ve reach your desired consistency.
4. Taste for salt level. Add more if needed.

Notes:
1. For me, this salsa isn’t spicy at all. If you’re sensitive to spice, you can exclude the jalapeño. If you like spicy, add 1-1.5 jalapeños or more.
2. Regarding same, you can add and taste as you go, or add it at the very end. The amount I used is affected by both the kind of salt I have and my personal preference.
3. If your processor doesn’t have a bowl scraper like mine (amzn.to/2WkYYlS) you might want to cut the tomatoes into smaller pieces before adding
