Around the world, more and more people are following the scientific literature and choosing a plant-based lifestyle for optimal diets. But are plant-based diets healthy during pregnancy and for raising young children? Are there any specific precautions that need to be followed? And how do you even get young kids to eat their veggies?

To answer these questions, ProVeg South Africa has brought together three leading experts in this field; Dr Brenda Davis - one of the most internationally respected plant-based dietitians, author and public speaker; Dr Reshma Shah, a board-certified pediatrician, affiliate clinical instructor at Stanford University School of Medicine and acclaimed author; and Jessica Kotlowitz - also known as the Green Dietitian - South Africa’s leading plant-based dietitian.
These experienced experts discuss healthy diets for pregnancy and raising young kids, highlighting the benefits of plant-based diets, adding some practical tips, and finally answering audience questions.
