Does veganism have an image problem?

Christopher Sebastian McJetters discussed how perceptions of elitism in vegan communities foster unfavourable opinions, and a few positive ways creative activists deconstruct that narrative.

About Christopher Sebastian McJetters:

Longtime vegan and social justice advocate Christopher-Sebastian McJeffers divides his time between London and New York City. A copyeditor by profession, Sebastian is a staff writer at Vegan Publishers, part-time lecturer on speciesism at Columbia University, and social media manager of Peace Advocacy Network. His intentions focus on examining the complex relationships between animal violence, environmental racism, classism, and capitalism. He explains why veganism is a useful tool for deconstructing multiple systemic oppressions.

He has contributed to the anthology Circles of Compassion: Connecting Issues of Justice edited by Dr. Will Tuttle, UK-based Barefoot Vegan magazine, and the blog Striving With Systems in collaboration with Aphrodite Kocieda (Aphro-ism) and Triangle Chance for All microsanctuary co-founders Justin Van Kleek and Rosemary Beaumanguer."
