France: Vegan activists stage rally outside butcher shop

Around 20 protesters staged a demonstration condemning the consumption of animal products outside a butcher shop in Marseille on Saturday.

SOT, Vegan Impact spokesperson (French): "It is not meat, they are dead bodies, they are victims, beings that feel, they have feelings, they feel pain and suffering, just like us. We are animal people, we are human people, we are here just to demand their right to life, only that. Every life is precious!"

SOT, Vegan Impact spokesperson (French): "I’m going to defend all child and adults, and those one, they are animal individuals. You and me and this people here, we are human individuals."

Local (French): "You are not going to convince me."

Vegan Impact spokesperson (French): "Well, I tried at least."

Local (French): "That’s good. Have a nice day."

Vegan Impact spokesperson (French): "Have a nice day Sir."

C/U Protester with placard reading (French): "Imprisonment, dismemberment, all that for ending in ham!"

SOT, Local (French): "They have interesting arguments, I agree with the ecological position; slaughterhouses are really disgusting, etc. Then, I think some questions are not raised, for example peasant farming."
