Bulgaria: Vegan activists 'cook and eat' human in gripping street performance

Tens of vegan activists performed a symbolic human-eating act to stunned onlookers in Sofia on Wednesday, as part of raising awareness for World Vegan Day.

Crowds watched in awe as a protester was prepared, garnished, and, eaten during the detailed interpretation, all while covered in fake blood and vegetables, outside of a department store in Vitosha Boulevard.

Bulgarian Vegan Union (BVU) President Nikola Donev rallied support through his megaphone declaring, "It's about time in 21th century to people recognise fundamental animal right as live and freedom."
